Recognize Your Lane
Did you ever observe that the only time you are behind is when someone else is in front of you. As a runner I find that I don’t like running behind someone else. It is just natural for you to start running faster to catch up and that means you are not going at your own pace but you tend to adjust your pace to that of the person in front of you. Life is sometimes the same but unlike running in life adjusting your pace to catch up with the next person does not always end well because you don’t know what is fueling the next person.
So stay in your lane, run your own race. There is nothing wrong in wanting to reach the person in front of you but don’t let the need to catch up consume you so much that you stumble out of the white lines that are marking your tracking.
